南京大学地理与海洋科学学院肇始于1921年竺可桢先生创立的地学系,素有“地理学家摇篮”的美誉。著名地理学家竺可桢、胡焕庸、张其昀、黄国璋、李旭旦、任美锷等教授在此执教,培养了一批杰出学者和社会贤达人士。
学院获得国家“双一流”、2011 计划、985 工程、211 工程、国家重点学科、江苏省优势学科等支持,为国务院学科评议组成员、教育部地理学教学指导委员会副主任、中国地理学会副理事长等单位。当前,学院以地球系统科学和人地关系理论为指导,围绕地理学基本理论问题和国家重大战略需求,在地球系统科学、地理要素过程与全球变化、碳循环与碳中和、海陆相互作用与海岸带资源环境、土地资源保护和利用、南海资源环境与海疆权益维护、国土空间规划与城乡融合发展、旅游地理与国家公园、遥感科学技术、地理信息新技术及应用等方面取得原创成果,特色和优势鲜明。
现有专任教师75人,其中教授32人、副教授40人。拥有两院院士2人、国家高层次人才17人、国家教学名师1人、国家重点研发计划与973项目首席科学家6人。拥有国家自然科学基金委创新研究群体、国家重点领域科技创新团队、教育部创新团队、教育部黄大年式教师团队、江苏省高校优秀科技创新团队等。
学院拥有国家2011计划中国南海研究协同创新中心、国家111引智基地、教育部关键地球物质循环前沿科学中心、地球系统科学国家虚拟仿真实验教学中心、海岸与海岛开发教育部重点实验室、黄山国家公园生态系统教育部野外科学观测研究站、自然资源部国土卫星遥感应用重点实验室、碳中和与国土空间优化重点实验室、江苏省地理信息技术重点实验室等平台。
一、招聘岗位设置
南京大学地理与海洋科学学院面向全球招聘有志于从事地理学与海洋科学教学与科研的优秀青年人才。本次拟在9个领域,招聘5个岗位,以准聘助理教授为主,特别优秀的候选人,也可应聘准聘副教授岗位;特别优秀的高层次人才岗位另议。
1表层地球系统科学:从事地球表层物质循环与地貌过程的教学与科学研究,发展地表物质示踪技术。具有地理学与地球科学多学科交叉知识背景。
2全球气候变化:从事全球气候变化与生态系统可持续发展的教学与科学研究。具有地理学、大气科学、地球系统科学等知识背景。
3 浅海动力过程:从事浅海关键动力过程机理及多尺度物质输运过程的教学与科学研究。具有物理海洋学、海岸海洋沉积动力学等学科知识背景。
4 多圈层作用与海岸海洋演化:从事全球变化背景下多圈层、多界面海陆相互作用的教学与科学研究。具有地球科学领域学科知识背景。
5 国土空间规划理论与方法:从事国土空间规划理论、技术与应用的教学与科学研究。具有地理学、城乡规划学和信息科学的交叉知识背景。
6 人口地理与城镇化:从事人口地理、城镇化与城乡融合发展的教学与科学研究。具有数据科学与人文地理交叉的知识背景。
7 地理信息科学(并行地理计算):从事海量复杂地理大数据空间分析与时空可视化并行技术研发的教学与科学研究。具有地理学、地理信息科学、计算机与人工智能科学等多学科交叉知识背景。
8 “一带一路”资源环境与关键空间治理:从事“一带一路”区域资源环境与全球可持续发展的教学和科学研究。具有地理与海洋科学、遥感与大数据科学、资源环境科学等交叉知识背景。
9 数字国土空间规划:从事数字国土空间规划编制与管理信息系统研发等的教学与科学研究。具有地理学、地理信息科学、国土空间规划等多学科知识背景。

Multiple tenure-track positions in Physical Geography, Human Geography, GIS and Marine Science at the School of Geography and Ocean Science, Nanjing University
The School of Geography and Ocean Science (SGOS) at Nanjing University is internationally renowned and one of the leading departments in both fields within China, situated in one of China’s elite universities.
Position descriptions
SGOS is looking forward to welcoming global young talents to join us in teaching and research related to geography and marine science at Nanjing University. There are nine faculty openings in four fields: physical geography, human geography, geographic information science and marine science, including 6 assistant professors, 2 tenure-track associate professors and 1 tenured associate professor. Details are listed below.
Surface Earth System Science: applicants will be engaged in teaching and scientific research related to cycling of earth surface material, landform processes, and/or technology of land surface material tracing. Education and research background in interdisciplinary geography or geosciences is required.
Global climate change: applicants will be engaged in the teaching and scientific research related to global climate change and sustainable development of ecosystem. Education and research background in geography, atmospheric science and/or earth system science is requited.
Coastal Dynamics: applicants will be engaged in the teaching and scientific research related to mechanisms of dynamical processes and multi-scale material transport in the coastal zone regions. Education and research background in physical oceanography, coastal and marine sedimentary dynamics is required.
Land-sea interactions and coastal ocean evolution: applicants will be engaged in the teaching and scientific research related to the interactions between the sea, land and atmosphere under global change. Education and research background in Earth science is required.
Theory and method of land planning: the applicants will be engaged in the teaching and scientific research related to the theory, method, and practice of land planning. Knowledge in geography, urban and rural planning, and information science is required.
Population geography and urbanization: the applicants will be engaged in the teaching and scientific research related to population geography, urbanization, and urban-rural integration. Knowledge in data science and human geography is required.
Geographic information science (parallel geo-computation): the applicants will be engaged in the teaching and scientific research related to the development of parallel computation for spatial analysis and spatio-temporal visualization of massive complex geographical, data science. Education and research background of geography, geographic information science, computer and artificial intelligence science is required.
Management of resources, environment, and space, and the Belt and Road Initiative: the applicants will be engaged in the teaching and scientific research regarding management resources and environment, and the research in the Belt and Road Initiative for global sustainability. Knowledge in geography and ocean science, remote sensing and big data science, resource and environmental science is required.
Digital land planning: the applicants will be engaged in the teaching and scientific research related to digital land planning, management and developing of GIS. Education and research background of geography, geographic information science, land planning is required.
SGOS is known as " the cradle of geography" in China, for its long history and important role in the establishment of the field within China. SGOS was originally founded as the department of Geoscience by Prof. Zhu Kezhen in 1921. The department has beenhome to many geographers and scholars of worldwide renown, such as Zhu Kezhen, Hu Huanyong, Zhang Qiyun, Huang Guozhang, Li Xudan, Ren Mei’e, etc. SGOS is supported by the national "Double First-Class" initiative, 2011 Plan, Project 985, Project 211, the National Key Discipline Program, and the Superior Discipline Project in Jiangsu Province. It is also a member of the Subject Appraisal Group of the Chinese Council, Deputy Director of the Steering Committee for Teaching Geography of the Ministry of Education of China, and the Chinese Geographical Society of China.
SGOS’s researches center on Earth System Science and the Human-Land interactions, driven by the fundamental theories of geography and national strategic plans. SGOS specifically focuses on the disciplines such as Earth system science, processes of geographical elements, global change, carbon cycle and carbon neutrality, land-sea zone interactions, land resources protection and utilization, maritime rights and security of the seas, national land planning and urban and rural integration development, tourism geography and national park management, remote sensing science and technology, new technology and application of geographic information etc. Many of these disciplines have made innovative and distinct accomplishments in recent years.
There are 75 full-time faculty in SGOS (32 full professors and 40 associate professors), including 2 academicians of CAS/CAE, 17 national-level talents, 1 national teaching master, 6 principal investigators of National Key R&D Program of China and Program 973. SGOS is home to a collection of high-level teaching and research platforms, including The Collaborative Innovation Center of South China Sea Studies, National 111 Talent Recruitment Base, Frontiers Science Center for Critical Earth Material Cycling, National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center for Science of Earth System, Key Laboratory of Coast & Island Development the Ministry of Education, Field Observation and Research Station of Ecosystem of Huangshan National Park, Key Laboratory of Land Satellite Remote Sensing Application Center, MNR, Key Laboratory of Carbon Neutrality and Territorial Space Optimization, Key Laboratory of Geographic Information Technology of Jiangsu Province and so on. The school has several excellent research groups such as the Innovative Research Group of National Natural Science Foundation of China on the Landform process and the environment evolution, National Science and Technology Innovation Team in Key Fields on the past climate change, Innovation Team of the Ministry of Education, Huang Danian teachers' team of the Ministry of Education, Excellent Scientific and Technological Innovation Team of Jiangsu Universities, amongst others.
Application Qualifications
